I have yet to verify because it would require reversing the wiring and haven't had the time to undo an installation. I am looking at warrantying through the website I bought it through though.

Re: CPR Worked fine, now ignition issue
Looks like this chip in the CPR kit is burnt.

Re: CPR Worked fine, now ignition issue
That's the next thing I'm going to need to do is convert it back to normal distributor. This is too much electrical to be going back and forth so hopefully this works and I can say it was the CPR kit

Re: CPR Worked fine, now ignition issue
Either can be used, but is one still connected to the original location?
Hello again,
same issue persists. Unfortunately the OEM honda distributor started the car once a while back when I said it worked, but after that start, it hasn't started since and the issue persists.
I got a different ...

Re: CPR Worked fine, now ignition issue
I realize the reason the indications changed between distributors. By leaving the ICM wire plugged into the new distributor coil (so as to leave the distributor unmolested), A21 was then re-connected between the new distributor and ECU. Step 7 alleviates this with the install by directing removal of ...

Re: CPR Worked fine, now ignition issue
A22 was diverted to communicate between ECU and CPR as designed.
A21 was left connected between distributor and ECU. A21 is now cut, and the system is working as designed.
I think if the instructions clearly directed bypassing one to the CPR and cutting the other for both the S300 as well as AEM ...

It is possible. Should that one be cut?Spunkster wrote: Tue May 21, 2024 2:55 pm Either can be used, but is one still connected to the original location?

Re: CPR Worked fine, now ignition issue
Where do you have the ign wire connected from the CPR to the ECU?
After looking at the installation instructions very carefully, I guess it could be pretty important whether A22 or A21 was used, not sure. The diagram and the text instructions both contradict eachother on the hondata ...

Re: CPR Worked fine, now ignition issue
The ICM which is either A21 or A22 (without it in front of me I don't remember), is cut near the ECU such that the distributor ICM signal does not reach the ECU, and is soldered to the CPR ICM wire (yellow/red).
Same with ALTC except A16, soldered to purple wire for CPR ALTC wire.

Re: CPR Worked fine, now ignition issue
Okay, my OBD-2 GSR Distributor finally arrived (genuine honda) from the UK to USA.
Installing OBD2 distributors to an OBD1 ecu is easy with a $10 amazon adapter. Also, you don't have to cannibalize the distributor wiring and can keep it unmolested by modifying the adapter instead (these things are ...

Re: CPR Worked fine, now ignition issue
Post calibration and a datalog of it trying to start showing the issue.
Absolutely.
I failed to save the datalog that day but I logged today and the symptoms were different today. Ignition worked fine (CPR light and sync light flashed as designed), but as soon as ignition took to approx 27 ...

CPR Worked fine, now ignition issue
Hello,
B16 head, b18 block, 1.95L sleeved. Got the car all put together up and running. I have verified the wiring previously, and got the car running with no issues from the CPR.
Today I took it around the block to test the brakes. I got home, turned it off. And when trying to start again, the ...
