Re: Inconsistent Idle AFR - ECT compensation issue?
thank you for that info! i’m somewhat glad to hear i’m not the only one who is struggling with this issue. It’d be nice if they had that setting but i’m sure they’re more worried about developing new features for the new vehicles /: i honestly debating switching to smaller injectors and retune ...

Re: Closed Loop Boost/fuel Control
Any update on this?
I asked for something similar to this but I went the other way with it, rather than try to get closed loop to respond fast enough to operate at WOT, I slowed it way down on the rate of change table.
The theory is that I have my fuel table tuned almost perfectly at WOT and ...

I have this issue too... Except it always sticks at 2%
Sounds like they have now implemented something to help minimize this issue in the new version v2.8.8. The closed loop inactivity timeout value can be adjusted up to around 10-11 mins (max I was able to enter is 655 seconds) which should ...

Re: Closed Loop Malfunction
The ECU wants to see a rich to lean or lean to rich swing every 30 seconds or so, not including during overrun. If you limit the short term trim to say +-10% but the engine requires +12% trim, then it will not see the swing and will deem that closed loop is not working. ECU doesn't bother to ...

Re: SManager V2.8.8
Is the 'closed loop inactivity timeout' intended to fix the issue where closed loop becomes inactive/freezes/quits working? And if so, do we simply raise the timeout value to help alleviate the problem?

Read the “closed loop malfunction” thread, plenty of people have the same issue and no fix from Hondata in years. Doubt they will ever do anything about it honestly. Just shut the car off and turn it back on and hope it doesn’t happen again ...

Re: Inconsistent Idle AFR - ECT compensation issue?
Did you ever find a fix for this? i’m running into the same issue and cannot seem to get enough fuel after hot restarts. Sure i can run closed loop but it still barely starts and runs rough for 30 seconds if IAT is over 130
The only thing I found that “sort of” helps is to add fuel in the low ...

Re: Closed Loop Malfunction
Had this same issue happen to me now a couple of times and found these posts about it like others have, same issue as others have mentioned … closed loop stops working on decel and s. trim becomes stuck at whatever value it happened to be at, won’t come back on until car is shut off/back on.

Capacitors/IC17 chip probably need to be replaced, had the same issue and saw the same solution online on multiple threads about the IC17.

Re: Cold Start and Ignition Question
Try the 'Ignition Compensation' tab and set the Water Temperature Compensation Low table to retard the ignition around the coolant temp you're at when starting the car cold? Might 'kind of' work if you set it up right.

Re: Decoding Post Start Fuel Rate of Decay
Got back to playing with this feature and tried setting to the same as Furble mentioned and had the same issues where the cold start was EXCESSIVELY rich and didn't want to run, even with only 4% in the 'Post Start Fuel Adjustment'.
It seems the values in the 'Post Start Fuel Rate of Decay' table ...

Replacement Capacitor Question
I received a replacement capacitor kit with the s300 and when we went to install them we noticed that the c201 replacement is a 100uf 25v instead of a 100uf 35v that was already there.
I assume since it was included in the kit that it is an acceptable replacement for the 35v capacitor it is meant ...

Re: SManager software requests
This is kind of what I'm envisioning as far as being able to change the min/max adjustment based on RPM (so you can have more control over closed loop adding/removing fuel at higher rpms and the ability to limit the amount it can remove/add).
