Hello everyone,
been having a few issues with a Kpro V1 and found that a few of the pin connector were either loose or broken.
Im trying to figure out what "J3" pin (circled in red) does.
One of the pins is broken and im trying to see if it is contributing to the issue I've had.
Issue: USB Driver ...

When I got to help, then test USB
It gives an error of
"The ecu USB information is incorrect (recovery pid) do you want to update the ECU USB information.
I press yes and I get
"Updating the ecu USB information has failed "
Then gives directions
1. Unplug ecu
2. Uninstall all hondata and ftdi USB ...

A separate window is coming up saying that?


No. When I first open up manager after barely installing it.
I get an error in the left hand corner that's says "driver not installed" "offline"
This is when I open the k manager for the very first time. First time as in I just downloaded the program ...

It will show up somewhere in the device manager window if it is refreshing. I need to know what it is showing up as.


Just shows up as USB.
Shouldnt the Kmanager driver be present when I download the latest software? When I did a fresh download again. I got the same error code when kmanager ...

Yes it does. Shows the USB it's plugged into refresh when it's reconnected but it does not say kpro. Did this on all laptops

in all three laptops kpro does not show up in the device manager.

You can download the drivers from the website: https://hondata.com/software?route=information/information , but should not need to use these as the drivers are part of the software. You may want to try using a different laptop.

The current software works with all versions of the K-Pro. Is this in the vehicle with the ignition turned on?


That is correct. Ive tried with ignition on, off and with car started and all same results. USB driver not installed / offline
I was even told to open kpro, plug in the cable. then ...

im using software V4.5.8.0
im just wondering if maybe I forgot to download a separate driver or if I had a bad cable.
I tried 4 different cables and 3 different laptops running win 11. Is my ecu to old for the current software?
