I couldn’t resist and at the risk of voiding warranty for opening the case. Here’s what I found! One of the screws backed out and the Hondata board was sitting up so that the pins were barely in the sockets.

By “stall” I mean the gauges and sensors stall. The rpm will stop moving until I wiggled again.

Battery voltage should have been the first clue...
TLDR: Added ground cable between valve cover and timing cover. Timing cover already grounded to chassis.
The common 12V to the injector harness was only reading 10.5V. As soon as we added the ground to the valve cover voltage went to 12.5V ...
