power commander 5 has now employed a self learning feature. you input your a/f ratio across the rev range and drive the vehicle and it creates a map. from there you can fine tune for power on a dyno. brilliant

i read in the workshop manual a way to get your instrument dials to sweep from 0 to max like on current superbikes. you basically put it into instrument diagnostic mode. watch the clip as i did it.

yes it's a green plug, but it's got 5 wires on it. the beeper does stop when i unplug it, but surely those other wires are there for something else. i do not have immobilizer(jdm dc5)
do you think i should unplug it anyway?

just found that 1 of the plugs behind the instrument cluster was abit loose in the socket.
the reason - i was on the hunt the other day for that anoying buzzer(key- in-ignition buzzer) so i had the cluster out and probably never pushed the plug back in hard enough.

temp gauge stopped working with kpro
car's being going fine for months. all of a sudden the temp gauge stops working and the e-brake light stays on. nothing was tampered with.
kpro does show the ect value but the gauge doesn't.
multiplexer window is as it always was - normal mode
what's going on.!

gear position output with kpro
is there a way of intercepting a signal from ecu showing gear position for external purpose? i have a boost-by-gear system that i would like to use but it requires a gear position signal.

if i use the healtech speedohealer(which alters the pulses from the speed sensor), should i fit it between the speed sensor and the dash, or must the ecu also read this calibrated pulse? will the ecu actually make sense of the "altered" signal ?
is it compulsary for the ecu to read this changed ...

jdm itr with euro ctr tranny. my speedo under reads alot!
is there any way to change the pulses from the speed sensor with kpro. the option to use the countershaft speed signal and change values does not work.
