Re: extremely rich at idle- K24a
Create another normal driving datalog with a WOT pull. I cleaned up some fuel on the top end.
-Ed
Hey Ed,
Been a while, heres another datalog. Unfortunately, I am no longer able to get 93 octane in my area so there was 91 in the car during this datalog. I know that definitely messes up ...

Ed,CalibratEd wrote: Sat Sep 18, 2021 8:59 pm No knock on previous datalog we are now moving to Vtec 0 VTC. Create a normal driving datalog without a WOT pull. I want to make sure it is safe before we do a WOT pull.
-Ed
Seemed ok with the vtec enabled
DL is attached.
Thanks

Re: extremely rich at idle- K24a
Ed,
Here is the datalog, pull is at 10min mark. Added 3 gallons of 93 to the tank before this one, hopefully that brings the octane up a lil bit.
FYI I will be away from the car for a couple weeks starting tomorrow.
Thanks,
Mike
Mike,
No worries we will pick up where we left off once ...

Re: extremely rich at idle- K24a
Ed,
Here is the DL, pull is around 6min mark.
There was still a quarter tank of 87 octane, so its probably between 91 and 93.
Thanks,
Mike

Re: extremely rich at idle- K24a
Ed,
3rd gear pull is near the end of this DL. It took me a little while to find a good flat spot here in the rolling hills of KY.
It threw a VSS code, which I assume is just having the wrong speed sensor selected.

Re: extremely rich at idle- K24a
Ed,
I checked for leaks before doing this datalog.
Didn't find anything obvious, which is frustrating. Brake booster seems OK, did a leak test.
Idle seems much better with the IACV enabled.

Re: extremely rich at idle- K24a
I noticed the VTEC point is at 8000, doesn't that need to be closer to 5k
This is part of the tuning process. You first tune the low cam tables at each vtc angle and then you work on the vtec side.
Another option is to dial in the tune you are currently running. The tune is less in depth ...

Ed,
Here is the datalog on your calibration.
It idled at stoplights at 1600 rpm, and 1300 rpm

Upload the tune and create a normal driving datalog after you fill up with 93 octane fuel.
-Ed
I'll try and do that this afternoon.
