Re: Is VTC angle in log actual value?
I've checked wiring from ECU to solenoid (continuity and ground are good), and also checked the solenoid on and off the car. Everything seems fine. I can see in the datalog that the ECU says VTEC is firing, but the car definitely cuts out when it should engage. I've also moved the VTEC engagement ...

Re: Is VTC angle in log actual value?
Thanks- that's helpful. I was assuming they were the same.
I will take a look.

Re: Is VTC angle in log actual value?
I'm looking at the log, and it looks like around 21 seconds is when it craps out. The engine feels like it's hitting a governor and won't rev higher.

Re: Is VTC angle in log actual value?
Trying to get in touch with a tuner to diagnose. Seriously- the tuner had a stroke, and I'm trying to get someone else at the shop to take a look.
The issue is, the car won't rev past around 5k rpm under load. It stutters and and the rpm's don't increase. It also appears to run rich at that point.

Re: Is VTC angle in log actual value?
Calibration and log attached. It is running rich, even at idle. I think this is due to a new fuel pump. AFR was good at low RPMs with this calibration, but then I replaced with an aftermarket one and am seeing rich across the board.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Is VTC angle in log actual value?
My K24 is running rich and cutting out when VTC hits, which seems like it would be a failing vtec solenoid, but the log values look OK. Are those log values actual results, or target numbers?

Re: Installed new fuel pump and now stumbling around 5k RPM
Will do- thanks. I did check fuel pressure after the new pump/filter in the garage, but not while driving. It looked fine, but there was no real load.
I'll recruit a friend to watch the gauge later this week under load.

Re: Installed new fuel pump and now stumbling around 5k RPM
I haven't swapped it back, but the reason I put the new pump and filter in was the original (MR2 Spyder OEM) starting running lean under load. It was actually around the same RPM as the stumble here, but I could see the AFR run lean. I had run a tank empty and then got on the track, so I assumed the ...

Installed new fuel pump and now stumbling around 5k RPM
Any insights from looking at the calibration and log? This is on a K24 MR2 Spyder.
I know the idle is low- I need to adjust the idle stop screw.
Calibration and log file attached.

Re: K24a MR2 Spyder Tune
I have a similar setup. My airleak was from a MAP port on the throttle body itself that needed a plug.

Got tuned with MAP Port unplugged, do I need to re-tune?
I got my K24 swap (MR2 Spyder) tuned, then realized I should have plugged the MAP Port on the throttle body. Do I need to re-tune since I had a vacuum leak when tuning, or will the maps compensate once plugged?
