When installing hondata it seems that it always pulls timing back 3-5degrees.
i.e. stock GSR ecu set timing to 16degrees BTDC. installed Hondata and timing was at 13degrees BTDC. ??? (idle timing was set at 16 and auto was 16). but the reading at the dist was off.

you said you are using the resistor pack. if those injectors are saturated(high impedence) then you are increasing the resistance much to high for the ecu to handle.
check the resistance on the injector. if its 11ohms or higher, then they are saturated.
