The table isn't used by the ECU. It's just for tuning/datalogging. Some WB o2 setups (like the techedge setups) have a simulated narrowband output that the car can run in closed loop from. I put a switch on the connector to the wideband to switch between narrowband and wideband. When I'm done tuning ...

Re: hondata please help

Thanks turbosi92,
I'll try this.

Do you know if the Volt/AFR converstion table gets downloaded into the ROM? I think my car is not starting because the Wideband Voltage input is so far off from the narrowband voltage, and the ECU is not compensating for this with the coversion chart.

The ECU ...

just get an o2 sensor connector...

You can just get a NB o2 sensor connector (i just replaced my sensor and used the connector from the old one). Then when you are using the wideband you just unplug the narrowband and plug the wideband setup in in it's place.

overactive knock detection

So, I was datalogging yesterday and I noticed that my ECU was seeing knock, even at idle. It was retarding the timing 8-10 degrees. My J&S safeguard wasn't seeing a thing. It was perfectly quiet.

Anyone know why this is? Could my blower be making noise that the ECU thinks in knock.

I turned the ...

I know the stock stang injectors won't help, but the 42 pounders will (440cc). Besides a set of 8 are going for like less than $200 I figured I get those, mod two rails, and I could probably come out pretty cheap.

I'll keep my eye out for the RC's....550's would be nice...BTW, where those new or ...

You can only buy the techedge directly from them (in Australia). Pricing is on their order form. The website for the new 2.0 unit (that uses a VW bosch sensor) is http://www.wbo2.com/
There are links to find info about the 1.5 unit (which uses a honda ntk sensor).
I don't know anything about the ...

Yes, I do use it for tuning with rom editor and an emulator.
The 1.5 and later tech edge units have a wideband and a simulated narrow band output. I took a double pole switch and connected the center to the ECU and the others to the narrow band and the wideband outputs. Then all I have to do after ...

Works great!

I have a 1.0 a 1.5 and a 2.0. I have tried both the 1.0 and 1.5 with the hondata. They work fine. There isn't any reason the 2.0 shouldn't work too.

I currently have my 1.5 installed with a switch to change between the 0-5 volt output and the simulated NB output. That way I can run in closed loop ...

exactly right.

The wideband sensors are more expensive and the firmware in the ECU isn't set up to utilize it. The widebands are mostly useful for tuning.

They will wear out more quickly than the narrow band ones.

EEPROM source

Good luck finding them at a radioshack. I've never seen them there. I haven't even seen them at some of the better electronics stores in my area. I ordered some from

He's selling them for use in GM and Fords but we can overlook that ...

RE: need help with techedge install

The speaker wire is the power connection. The output comes out the DB-9 connector (pin 7).

Check out the manual on the Techedge Site. (http://www.techedge.com.au/vehicle/wbo2/ozdiy-um.pdf)

NB vs WB voltage

The narrow band o2 sensors are basically a switch. The voltage will stay very close to 0 volts until the mixture reaches stoich and then it will suddenly jump up to around 1 volt. So, the ECU just tries to keep it on bouncing back and forth between 0 and 1 volt. A NB o2 sensor will basically only ...

"Jag", are you out there?

When I first installed my blower I did it with the jackson racing fuel management hacks. I wasn't terribly happy with they way it ran. It was very rich under boost. My fuel economy was terrible. I couldn't blame the JRSC for all of that. It was my fault that I spent so much time under boost.
The ...
