I have not adjusted anything yet but radiator cooling fan.. I test drove it for last three days, hitting 80 MPH and I only got one knock on per test drive so it seems to get better now.. I have few theories.
1) I am thinking maybe new header/gasket was broken in and it acts smooth now, stop sending ...

#2 cylinder knock
I got knock counts when I drive 5th gear, 6-8 knocks for 20 minutes with AEM SRI. When I bolted Invidia header to cat-back exhaustion on and went on one hour drive, the knock counts got worse, 22 knock counts in 30 minutes then I decided to run at 4,000 RPM and my knock count started to quiet down ...

I will explain it more. Before the old oil when I got few knocks, there was no Knock Retard. With new oil, I got 2 knock retards but zero knock counts.. Is Knock Retard preventing the knock? Does good oil helps motor to detect and retard the knock?

Re: Parts not available under FlashPro mapbase, is it okay to use Skunk2 calibrations?
I have another question about oil and knocks..
I am using AEM SRI calibration since I have not added header and exhaustion yet, I just want to test my FlashPro and learn how it works first before I add exhaustion and header.
I got few knocks during 3,000-3500 RPM in 5th gear. They only occur ...

Thanks for the reply. I am going with the "AEM SRI, race header, high-flow, and stock catback" mapbase because I have AEM SRI. When I reviewed it, I noticed Knock control parameters and it is disabled under "Flash check engine for knock enabled," coming from Hondata's basemap.

Re: 08 civic si considering hondata/cai/exhaust help?
Why would you say that? I have AEM SRI bolted on for two years without Hondata FlashPro and it is still running strong for 60,000 miles already but I had an error once, I did wrong pedaling and engine check light came on and it would not kick VTEC in, I unbolted MAP and it smells like fuel coming ...

Parts not available under FlashPro mapbase, is it okay to use Skunk2 calibrations?
Hello, I am new to Hondata FlashPro and I understand that I may sound like a newbie but I have a long story why I faded away from automotive aftermarket parts world because of my opioid addiction issues in the past that had pulled me behind with the modern world with these tunings. I never steal ...
