By the looks of things, it seems I've just managed to figure out my issue I was having which was very similar to yours.

Try setting your idle cam angles at 10 degrees, have no 0 deg on your entire low fuel map, kpro will log that you at 0 degrees on idle, but it seems like it uses the 10 deg ...

Can you do me a favour? Set it up for live tuning on 0 degree cam angle, closed loop, upload the calibration, then adjust the fuelling on idle 1% (should be on 0 degree cam angle) at a time giving three or four seconds between each input and see if it reaches the point where 1% makes a massive afr ...

I think there is a very slight leak on the exhaust which Ill get sorted out tomorrow, but that still doesn't explain how a 1% fuel change can make such a drastic difference to the a/f ratio. This is the 3rd car I've tuned that has done this... this car has an aem, the other two PLX gauges ...

I’ve got the opposite problem here.

Aem 30-0300 connected up to analog input and ground of kpro 4, and everytime I start up the aem is sending a 0.5v signal which translates to 8.5-8.7a/f which is fine for the first 10 seconds or so until the s.trim kicks in, then it pulls 30% fuel and the engines ...

Can't see it now with the stock fuel system back on, but it held rocksolid on idle when the return system was connected with the adj. fpr. so don't think that is an issue.
