I have been told that the K-Pro ECU WILL pass the sniffer test if set to the default .KAL for your engine model.
I have also been told that if there are NO DTC/Trouble codes, the SMOG station will have NO idea about K-Pro. Since when they plug-in the ODBII scanner it only reads for trouble codes ...

Went back to my tuner since he has not upgraded to 1227. Had him re-upload my .kal. Car runs FINE without changing fuel trim as suggested. I will definitely be less likely to update in the future. :x

If you upload a calibration it erases the idle learn memory. This takes 3 or so dats to relearn. Until then it will not idle correctly. If you have an engine swap, the wiring does not give the ECU backup power and it will never perform the idle learn.

Update from 1226 to 1227
I am also having an idle issue. I re-installed 1227 to see if would help, to no avail.
Car goes from running fine, then the idle starts surging.

JR is going to Rotorex SC's. Is K-Pro going to support this? I have K-Pro and have yet to buy a SC. If I wait for the new Rotorex for my 05 EP3, is K-Pro going to work?

Sorry to chime in.....BUT. YES you can. I did it for a while until I borrowed a Windows based PC from a family member.
