I had a knock sensor break in half. I replaced it with a new one and now the knock level is much higher in the same conditions as before.
Knock level was peaking at 15% during cruising before and 55% at WOT. With the new sensor it's now 25% when cruising and 75% at WOT.
Knock Control would stay at ...

Re: 10* of timing being pulled when after shifting WOT
Yeah seems like it.
Not sure exactly what the parameters are to trigger it tho. Basically going from WOT from one gear to WOT in the next gear would trigger it, even at low rpm and high rpm. Never happened when going WOT while already in gear tho, only after shifting. Never saw it happen during ...

Re: 10* of timing being pulled when after shifting WOT
the -100% for all gears, tip-in ignition retard trim, fixed the issue
1. I zero'd the traction control, was still pulling timing
2. I disabled VSA, was still pulling timing
3. I set 0-6 tip in ignition retard trim to -100%, no longer pulled timing
I kept the previous settings as I tried the ...

Re: 10* of timing being pulled when after shifting WOT
That was it!
Thanks a ton! Will post a new log of it when I get home, just for anyone else that reads this.
Ignition timing is now bang on with the tables the whole time.
There’s zero knock count/retard still as well. I assume it’s safe to leave it like this, all at -100% ?
I’m pretty sure I ...

Re: 10* of timing being pulled when after shifting WOT
I thought VSA was traction control because of all the ‘how to disable’ vids online, where they just press the traction control button.
Now I understand, it’s stability control.
Unchecked VSA under misc. (it was on)
Still getting the same thing. Pulling 10* of timing after shifting, no knock ...

Re: 10* of timing being pulled when after shifting WOT
So the car 100% does not have traction control.
So I changed the "Traction Control" settings in calibration. "None" was already selected, but I changed the table values to 0* timing retard (in traction control table) anyways. The issue has not changed

Re: 10* of timing being pulled when after shifting WOT
thanks for the quick reply.
I never even considered VSA because didn't realize my car has it.
I thought my car had zero traction control and zero stability control. It doesn't have a button for it anywhere in the interior, and clearly doesn't have traction control. The car does feel like it has a ...

10* of timing being pulled when after shifting WOT
2007 Civic Si. It's 100% stock mechanically.
I'm getting around 10* of timing pulled when going WOT, then shifting then WOT again. The ignition timing is being pulled and isn't showing knock retard, or knock count. But the ignition timing is clearly going from 31 where it should be on the table ...

Re: Service light with RBB calibrations, but not with RACE calibrations?
Got it. Will wont not use race calibration.
I just have no idea how to tune with the non-race calibrations, nor how it works.
Do you have a link that explains this?
Is it preferred to used the "use speed/density tables" setting and just add/pull fuel as you would tuning RACE calibration? Or is ...

Service light with RBB calibrations, but not with RACE calibrations?
I keep getting a solid yellow wrench (service light) on my dashboard, and little LCD screen that resets to 0 when loading the calibration, and counts in a negative number as I drive. It always goes to that screen when I start my car.
I thought this only happened with the RACE calibrations? Funny ...

Re: Gauge doesn't sweep when uploading calibration
2007 Civic Si Dead stock. Minor exhaust leak, somewhere around the header.
So if I load the "Civic Si RRB 2 Tuned (completely stock, tuned)" calibration, the high speed fuel tables at WOT are set to 11.69 by default. 12.54 in the mid range, and 13.35 at low pressure (-26.4 to -14.8 ). The whole ...

Re: Gauge doesn't sweep when uploading calibration
Thanks a ton!
Is there anything I should know before doing this? Do the current tables values just directly convert over when I check that box or do I start from scratch? Seems like the default values are pretty out of wack.. 11.1 at full vacuum on a N/A stock car? Seems pretty damn fat.
I tried ...

I should mention that the gauge sweep does happen if I load the "stock equivalent" calibration
