Hello, I recently updated my S2000 tune with full ethanol flex fuel capabilities in Flashpro. So far everything is working great, but I do have a small concern/question about random spikes that occur that will take my ethanol reading all the way to 100%.
Question 1: Does Flashpro have any sort of ...

Re: Various questions about a few different settings
Thanks for the reply. Couple of follow-ups.
I would not recommend trying to run closed loop at al times as any issue with the O2 sensor could have bad consequences.
I will use your precaution on this, but I still would like to know if there is a way to run closed loop when the car is in VTEC ...

Various questions about a few different settings
Hi, I have a few questions that I've been wondering about for a quite a while, and I'd like to get more detail than what is provided in the help manuals. I will take whatever the most you're willing to give me.

Re: AFR Corrected is no longer accurate compared to wideband gauge
Nothing in the software has been changed that would affect the display of the AFR. I you would like I believe you can plug in a generic OBDII scanner and get the same AFR reading as FPM.
I'm referring to the data of the AF Corrected field which is a recalculation done by Hondata Flashpro ...

AFR Corrected is no longer accurate compared to wideband gauge
I have been successfully been tuning my S2000 with both the AFR Corrected and my AEM Wideband AFR gauge for some time now. They have always been almost exactly equal to each other, and very reliable.
I'm not exactly sure when, but sometime in the last year I noticed that the AFR Corrected readings ...

Re: Closed Loop Operation Calculation Issues with Fuel Trims
The problem is that the Honda ECU always looks for the SO2, even when unplugged or disabled. I can look to see if there is an alternate way to stop the ECU using the SO2, but it might take a little while. The error condition is what stops the ECU using the SO2, not what I originally thought but ...

Re: Closed Loop Operation Calculation Issues with Fuel Trims
What happens if the SO2 is disabled and plugged in?
I would have to go find the sensor (probably buried somewhere) and plug it in.
So I've retuned the low fuel map from scratch and the lines on the map are significantly smoother flowing now. I've managed to run around 0% LTFT and -2 to 2% STFT ...

Re: Closed Loop Operation Calculation Issues with Fuel Trims
Significant improvement (as seen in the attached picture and datalog) by simply enabling the secondary O2 sensor while keeping it unplugged.
It still goes pretty lean (~16.5AFR) for the first ~10 seconds after startup before the closed loop system kicks in, so if you have any advice on how I could ...

Re: Closed Loop Operation Calculation Issues with Fuel Trims
There's a couple of minor things and one major thing. The minor things - don't test with live tuning on if you suspect a problem. There's no known problems with live tuning on the S2000 and I have not seen any bugs with it, but it is one more factor when trying to diagnose something. The second ...

Re: Closed Loop Operation Calculation Issues with Fuel Trims
The trims are now changing which indicates that closed loop is working.
Please read my original post. It wasn't a matter of closed loop working or not working, it clearly does something when it is active but the issue is that it pulls WAY too much fuel at idle. My point is that the closed loop ...

Re: Closed Loop Operation Calculation Issues with Fuel Trims
Try putting the stock fuel trim settings back and see if that works better.
I have tried with every possibility including the stock values. No matter what numbers I put in the fuel trim fields (except all 0's), it always does what you saw in the logs at idle.
If you want me to do this and post ...

Re: Closed Loop Operation Calculation Issues with Fuel Trims
Please note that I have a 2 month old AEM wideband sensor that is hooked up to the ELD pin on the ECU, as you can see in the calibration, if you wanted to view this data alongside the factory primary O2 in your own logging template.

Post the calibration as well as datalogs showing what you are describing.
Exact steps taken.
