I just ordered a Hondata Intake manifold gasket to try and get my charge temps down . So from all the posts i saw they were deffault as the Race Version and if you wanted coolant flow you just cut open a slot to let it pass.

my PLX came with the caps. that is for noise filtering . The resistors are for not getting the heated O2 code. i still didnt install the resistor, i cant find the wire i need, lol.

yea i just replaced it with another one i had laying around. i had a few of them stepped up that i was trying to use for the latch type socket in the ecu itself, but i couldnt get it to fit in with that module close to right behind the eprom.

Well i hooked my lighter up to constant . seemed to work ok to keep the burner on . i tried the rom emulator and it wouldnt work . i took it out and noticed a pin broke off somehow . damnit, :cry: . im gonna resocket it today and see if i can get it working . reburning after changes everytime sucks ...

i dont have the Romulator though. I have the Rom emulator. the oldschool one. I was told i need to wire my cig lighter to constant 12v for it to work correctly. i hear the faster laptops might get around it , but its iffy

I was told for the Rom emulator to work correctly it much have a constany power source so you dont lose your info when you shut the car off?

But if your using the Rom Emulator you wouldnt really need to shut the car off to burn the rom would you? Doesnt the Rom emulator go in the ecu then connect ...

i went onto the PLX site and downloaded the pinout for my car . mine was D17 i think off hand. i took the pinout from the harness not from the ecu . just to make sure its all correct. it gets sketchy sometimes when swapping other stuff out

the greay wire is for the narrow band and the white wire is for the wideband . im just wiring the wideband and keeping it in wideband all the time . but supposedly the besat way to do it is to have a switch and switch it from narrow band to wideband . i guess its personal pref really. supposedly in ...

Just wondering. i just got a new laptop and it doesnt have serial ports. so i needed to get a serial to USB . will this work with the old versions of Hondata , i have the 4b .i cant get it to connect. just sits at connecting

so realistically i can leavethe PLX wired in wideband mode all the time and set the Hondata to do its closed under 650mbar and open above that , the PLX will read correcly both ways, but the Hondalogger will only read correctly when in open ...

ok thats how i was understanding it too . are there any adverse affects from not putting the map back in closed loop other than economy?

I was told once that if the tune was done correctly closed loop really shouldnt be needed to make the changes because it will be dead on? correct?
