There are only two outputs for nitrous. What about using the boost control PWM output for a progressive shot? The only issue would be if the ECU output transistor could handle the current from the nitrous solenoid.

Better still!! But I don't think the transistor can handle it, my solenoids draw ...

That's what I'm doing, but I want 3 stage, stage 1 in 2nd gear, stage 2 in 3rd gear, then stage 1+2 in 4th.

Nitrous by gear

How about implementing a feature that allows nitrous engagement to be gear dependent? This way I could use a 50 shot in 2nd, a 100 in 3rd, then both shots in 4th!!

This would be a useful way to control wheelspin when nitrous is used.

The nitrous fuel and ignition changes are cumulative.

Thank-You very much.

The nitrous output is correct - with a NPN output transistor it will show 0V always unless something is connected to pull the putput to 12V.
What I noticed was my relay engaged as soon as I armed the system (+12 arming ...

Dual stage nitrous issue / questions

I'm implementing a dual stage nitrous system on my RSX and I think I have found an issue with the E20 output.
When I use E20 to control my 2nd stage the menu says gnd=on, however it appears the actual implementation is reversed. This output is always gnd, even when the nitrous is disarmed. By ...

I cut the wire and spliced it where it comes out of the ECU so it was totally isolated from the wiring of the car.

Strange behavior of E20 (EVAP bypass)

I recently wired in a dual stage nitrous kit and found an issue with E20 (EVAP bypass) which is being used to drive the 2nd stage. After install we noticed that the output was always active. After checking the "invert output" the relay was no longer energized. This was wired in the same manner as ...

You need 2 maps, one pump and one for racing. I do that, and leave the imoibilizer disabled on the race gas map so the blinking key thing reminds me, "NO PUMP GAS"

Better way to stage nitrous

Currently there is only speed/rpm/tps to setting nitrous engagement which is a great feature, however for a 2 stage system it would be better if nitrous 2 was triggered from 1 by a programmable time delay. Reason is that the current system works great for the launch, but when shifting both stages ...

Shift Cut with Nitrous

I'm interested in using the shift cut feature, however I also use Nitrous and since the shift cut removes fuel I'm thinking that will not be good for nitrous, is there any safe way to use both of these features?
