Lets say you have a bad ecu, and you want to transfer the custom tune from your old ecu. Can you save and copy the tune to transfer it? If not can you manually copy the tune and re-enter the exact setting to get your tune back or do you need a new tune?

right but if I cant do that or it would be easier to purchase one, then I could try the new(used) one on my car. if my car runs as it should then it would narrow it down to my current ecu. when you buy a new Kpro it comes with stock tunes, so shouldnt a stock ecu operate the car in a normal fashion ...

I hate to ask you basically the same question, but what if its close to the matching numbers and from a kpro swap like this one? I say this because it wont be easy for me to find someone in my town....

Will any k20 from the same year(s) work or does it have to come from exact car, which may be pretty difficult to find? With that said, if it is the ecu and I have to replace it can I save the tune and reinstall it on the new ecu?

I do not have access to a vehicle like that, but I checked the VTC oil control valve. The valve works but there is no power from the ecu. I checked power while engine was running and while reving the throttle.
