So I read on your site that this can fry the injector drivers on the ecu in 10 minutes. I just bought a car that had these dsm injectors on it for 500 miles with no resistor box. The car idles at 700rpm and does nothing when you step on the gas, absolutely nothing.

Okay, he put the R54 resistor in correctly the first time, so I think the only thing i'm sitting on is this rp18 jumper.


Okay, any idea what the lack of a jumper wire on rp18 would do?

My bad I wrote those backwards.

There is nothing on rp17 on my ecu, and there is a jumper on rp18, but only one side of the jumper was connected properly.

Okay tried a new laptop and it did the same thing.

Took the top off the ecu and noticed that there were no lights, red or green. I took the ecu out and unplugged the hondata board, checked the connections and noticed that the installer didn't desolder a resistor when he installed a jumper wire ...

So I get this error with an HP omnibok 6100 laptop,and it just keeps saying usb device not recognized. I go into device manager and hondata s300 isn't an option, its like it never even gets to the installing new hardware thing.

Is this a socketing problem, a usb 2.0 problem? Anybody with any ideas?

Okay, I see in the help file that retarding the ignition and/or adding fuel during the launch limiter can increase EGT, manifold, turbo, and head temps, and it never dawned on me, but washing the cylinders would be horrible as well.

It says the activation RPM for this should be below the launch ...

Thanks Spunkster, I was wondering though, you can cut fuel, or fuel and ignition, but there isn't an ignition only.

So what good does it do to retard the timing, or cut timing if you are also cutting the fuel. Because if there isn't any fuel, then there is no exhaust to spool the turbo right ...

I'm use to the MSD setup, where when its on the stutterbox the turbo is still building boost for off the line power.

I was told that Honda ECU's cut the fuel when they are rev-limiting, and i'm wondering if this is the same with the S300 and Launch Control. I want to be making boost off the line ...

Okay, i've been reading a lot on this, and people are confusing things

Do you want a 1k ohm resistor accross the o2 heater control wire (which is pin A6 on an obd1 ecu) and the o2 12v switched (which is pin A25)?

OR

Do you want to have a 1k ohm resistor accross the o2 12v switched (pin A25) and ...

Well this still doesn't answer my question about what do I do since my d16a6 doesn't have a knock sensor. Where should a knock sensor be mounted, and which one should be used. All knock sensors are designed to pick up different resonate frequencies.

So which one do I use, and where on the block do ...
