Till there is a fix, it is necessary to drive off within the first 90 seconds? I was also wondering what I could do in kpro so that my cat threshold code wouldnt show a code. Is that through tuning or through disabling a code?
I did follow all instructions on how to trouble shoot the switch. My question was if you had a mechanical oil pressure gauge, if it would take the pressure away from the actual vtec switch and get the code. Im getting my electrical oil gauge back on saturday so I'll see if it fixes the problem.
If you disable the oil pressure switch does Vtec still work?? Also will having a mechanical oil pressure guage effect Vtec and the pressure switch reading?? I keep throwing the code P1259 - I even replaced the switch and confirmed oil pressure.
thank you very much. If I had a base tune and it was done on say 9.8:1, should I advance it like 2 or 3 degrees across the board for it to work better with my setup? So if it said 16 to start with I'd put in 18 or 19, etc? Just wanna make sure, thats all.
