Here is a thought I just had... If you have a Honda Civic Si you could wire it behind the Si logo in the cluster so it lights up brighter when indicated.

One thing I dont understand is that when I plug in the OEM ECU the CEL is gone. So why would one ECU throw that code and not the other?

So then my code is a 21 - vtec spool solenoid valve. Great! I was happier when I thought I just had an automatic ECU. So what hell should I do now to troubleshoot this bullshit?

I'm obviouly a novice at this, but if you don't mind my asking. How does one determine the blinks into a numbered code?

Also I thought that the knock sensor could be disabled by doing something to j12?

I may be reading the code wrong. The light blinks twice and then a third time really fast.

Not sure I understand what you mean. The check engine light blinks a 31 which is 'automatic transmission B signal' going by Hondata's guide. The red LED on the s200 is solid also.

Allright I was able to jumper the diagnostic connector and pull a code. However the code is extremely off the wall. I get code '31 - Automatic transmission B signal'. Any thoughts on this crap? The car is not an automatic.

I'm freaking out over this. Sorry for coming off like an ass. It just seems like no one can give me a straight forward answer.

I found the connector and this procedure didn't help one bit. I can plug in my OEM ECU and run the car (like shit) without throwing any codes. Plus, OBD1 ECU's can be reset ...

Shorting Out The Diagnostic Connector

How do I "short out the diagnostic connector"? Seeing as how I'm probably going to have to do this does anyone have some pic's or detailed step by step instructions.

Yeah, I saw that, but I can jack in the OEM ECU and get no errors. So what the hell is that all about?
