Thought an update would be of interest.

I figure the problem was fuel pump(s) glitching as they died. Ended up having AFRs go full lean past 5K when tuning high cam.

- Now running correct plugs.
- Now running Walbro 255, with fuel system returned to stock.
- Now running Precision 880s with ...

Plugs are the ones recommended by Cybercrapnation. You know, non-resistor ones. :? AFRs were not spike-y when they read lean, as you see with misfires... the AFRs were a smooth curve, varied at most a 1/4 point.
