Thanks for clearing that up. So, I should ask the shop that did my swap to cut a hole in the Civic ECU casing so that I can run a USB cable to the USB port, right?

It's normal to put a K-Series ecu into the case of a civic ecu for fitment since the case is internally the same. They should be able to cut the hole in the case for the USB cable. Using the civic case allows it to easily bolt into the stock location.

Thanks for clearing that up. I feel a little ...

Can you provide pictures? All the Civic/RSX ECU cases are the same size so the reason for the swap doesn't make any sense.

I just dropped my car off this morning at the body shop to get the front bumper repaired. When I get it back I will take some pix.

I don't understand the fitment issues ...

K-Pro / ECU fitment issues

Hello,

I have a '04 Honda Civic with a '04 K20A2 swapped in. I bought K-Pro and the shop that did my swap said that the "box" Hondata uses to repackage the ECU and add K-Pro electronics was too big and wouldn't fit. So, the took all the electronics out and put them in the "stock" box. I have some ...

Hondata where are you? LOL!

One of you must know the answer to my question.

Oh dude... hahaha.. I totally missed what you were asking for!

The stock rev limiter in the 02-04 rsx k20a2 is 8100, the redline is 7900.

My K-Pro came with a factory/stock k20a2-rsx and a tuned k20a2-rsx calibration ...

Re: K-Pro and Rev Limiter

With K-Pro and the base calibration, what is the redline increased to? I have heard 8500 and 8600. Which is it? the revlimit for the base cal for the k20a2 is 8100 for stock...the stock tuned one is 8600. But if you want the base base base rsx :) it's like 6900

Ok....redline on an '02-04 RSX-S ...

Hello, its me again. :) My RSX ECU was just sent to you (by an authorized retailer) so that you could add the K-Pro to it. I know that you stated above that I don't have to worry about having the key / immobolizer flashed to match the ECU because there is an option (which by default is disabled) to ...

K-Pro and Governor

Does the K-Pro upgrade automatically disable the governor, or is this an option that you must select when programming the K-Pro?

Re: K20A2 Swap and K-Pro

Thank you kindly for the quick response. I have one last question regarding your following response:

If you use the RSX ECU then you will either need to disable the immobilizer (if using KPro), or take the car to Honda and get them to match the ECU to the key/immobilizer.

You said that I would ...

K20A2 Swap and K-Pro

Hello, I am gettin ready to do a K20A2 swap for my '04 Civic coupe. My local tuner, Group 5 Motorsport, will be doing the swap. I have some questions regarding this swap:

1. Will I still use my Civic key or do I need to get the RSX key from the engine I am getting?

2. What do I need to initially ...
