Re: Boost control on PRC ecu
Ok well we spliced ours. I'll have to cut and join it then. Any reason why a splice won't work?

Re: Boost control on PRC ecu
I'll have to do another dyno run because we didn't save the logs. When I do this I'll upload.
Also can the b21 wire be spliced or does it have to be cut and joined only to the solenoid wire?

Re: Boost control on PRC ecu
Also tested the solenoid separately to confirm it was functioning.

Re: Boost control on PRC ecu
We spliced the b21 wire and connected it to one wire of the solenoid. The other solenoid wire went to power. Also tried setting the solenoid to a fixed duty cycle, which the logs confirmed was set, but nothing. The frequency was also set as well.

Boost control on PRC ecu
Guys,
I'm using a PRC ecu with a V2 Kpro installed. We installed a boost solenoid and wired the signal wire to B21 as stated in the help files, but the solenoid doesn't appear to be getting a signal to turn on and off. Does the PRC ecu have the circuitry to accommodate this? Asking because I had a ...

Re: CEL when NOS armed
Just an update.
We bypassed the fan from the ecu, and used the temp sensor on the radiator to control the fans. Just had to use a relay to turn on the a/c fans after. This left the B6 wire free to use as the output, which got the nos activating and deactivating via the K-pro as it should.
So ...

Re: CEL when NOS armed
Ok thanks a lot. Guessing you can't actually have your a/c functional if you're going to use the E18 output?

Re: CEL when NOS armed
Inputs? Currently I'm using the E29 as input (arm switch). It's the output that I'm having a problem with, which is E20 or E21. Is it that you are referring to?

Re: CEL when NOS armed
So I've run into another problem. Apparently the JDM PRC ecu does not come with the E20 or E21 pins. I removed the secondary o2 sensor pin and put it into the E21 slot and set the parameters for that on the k-manager. However it does not seem to be sending a signal to trigger the solenoid. All the ...

Re: CEL when NOS armed
Thanks man. Are there any repercussions to using this input? Meaning if it causes the CEL to light up, will it have any adverse effects?Spunkster wrote:Anytime you use the SCS input it will show the check engine light as that is how the vehicle is wired.

CEL when NOS armed
Hi guys,
Did some searching here but can't find any info on the above. My question is, is the CEL supposed to light up when nos is armed? I'm running a K-pro on a 2002 DC5 Type R. The arming input is wired to E29, the output is E21, and there's a relay in there. The nos kit is a Zex, which uses a ...

Re: K-Pro - Values not populating in Display Lambda Values
Ok solved it. Just needed to drop down the cam angle thing and change it from 0 degrees to 10..20 etc. Then it showed data.
