Oh, I see. So what is the difference between "storage" and "what it is running off of"? As in why is there storage if it serves no function to the emulation process? So is it essentially just a flash stick or something? For downloading datalogs? What exactly? Thanks for all the insight thus far!

Thank you for the response. Without anything other than the USB cord I found a work around. I want to point out that all of what I am about to say is based off of using the latest SManager update and S300 v3 firmware.


1.) Plug in USB cable to S300 then to PC.

Will you please confirm (or deny) that you can power up a S300 v3 unit by USB cord alone and upload or download a tune.
If it is true, why wouldn't you market this? Some people might want to upgrade for this feature alone ...

Just wanted to report that I got it all working but I was forced to use what was displayed in the box instead of what I selected. This sucks because there is no on the fly inputs. Sorry about that, but I am talking about where you actually enter in the voltage and what that voltage represents. Say 0 volts = 0 psi and then below that 5 volts = 100 psi.

I am having an issue with SManager 2.3.2.0 beta version. Under Analog Inputs and Options -> Sensors the Input doesn't change like before when the units are changed. For instance, if I select PSI it still displays BAR down below.

Thanks for the explanation. I read on the website that it says "additional security features" so I assumed that meant for V3. I didn't realize it was still a copy list from V2.

Is there a reason why the Advanced Protection won't work with V2?

The problem with that is when under boost you are still adding timing across the board. Just RPM input isn't enough to properly account for this or take full advantage of E85.
