Re: S300 v3 Issue

The problem went away either because of the new software update or because I moved my main power cable away from the ECU.

Re: S300 v3 Issue

I installed the resistor into spot R54 and now everytime I do a pull the datalogging drops and then a window pops up talking about updating the firmware. WTH is wrong here?! =/

Re: S300 v3 Issue

I tested with another HP laptop with Windows 8.1 and it worked fine aside from the datalogging dropping out in the higher RPM's. Does that mean R54 needs to be installed or what can I do to correct this issue?

So I guess my laptop is toast somehow? Could that be caused by previously using non ...

Re: S300 v3 Issue

No warning or error messages. Just turns right off like if you were to pull the battery. I will try another laptop and report back.
Sorry I didn't answer the rest of the question.

Re: S300 v3 Issue

No I have not, but my laptop was working just fine with my friends S300 v1 so I'm almost certain my laptop isn't the issue. As I said, it only happens when I turn on datalogging and happens after a couple minutes no matter which USB port I use.

Are calibrations made prior to v3 and the updated ...

S300 v3 Issue

I can upload to the ECU, make changes to my calibration etc but if I enable datalogging, shortly after my laptop shuts off completely even on a fully charged battery. My laptop is fine, as I can use it for hours on battery power with no issues.

This is a very weird problem and I've asked a few ...

Re: S300 v3?

Evans Tuning is going to swap them out for me. Guess they sold what they had for v3's and had a couple v2's laying around. Fast response, couldn't be happier dealing with them!

Thanks for all your help.

We only started to sell the v3 last week. When did you purchase yours?
I purchased it this past Thursday (April 3rd).

Re: S300 v3?

Great...so false advertisement. What should I do about this? Contact the seller (Evans Tuning (Jeff Evans)) and hope they sort it out?

S300 v3?

I'd like to know if the S300 I just bought is version 3 or not because what was pictured on the site I bought it from was the version 3 (white circuit board). I'm going to flip a s**t if I wasn't sold what was being displayed and what I paid for.

I received a red circuit board which says R12 on it ...

Re: Ignition Cut at 5 psi

Yes, when this problem occurs my wideband gauge reads 12.6 or so but the ECU might be reading higher, I didn't think to check.

Re: Ignition Cut at 5 psi

So my car is going lean at 5psi? Why does it only occur when the engine is warmed up though? So I have a fuel issue somewhere is what you're saying or is it in the tuning? Thanks for the fast reply by the way!

Ignition Cut at 5 psi

Hi, I've been having an issue with my turbo GSR for a few days now where I'm getting an ignition cut at 5lbs of boost. My boost cut cold and hot are both set to 24psi. However, this problem doesn't occur when the engine is completely cold. I've replaced the distributor and threw in new plugs ...
