Re: B5 Datalogging switch is causing the car to run differen
Double check that the switch isn't activating something else too - especially the secondary map (under parameters).

Re: Boost Low/High table
I just noticed that the switch also activates the secondary table. Hopefully all solved now.

Re: Boost Low/High table
I just wanted to add - in the log the AC switch is activated to high at 3:18. The 'cut/jump' can be seen at 3:24.

Boost Low/High table
Hi guys,
trying to set up the boost by gear low/high tables. Have a switch wired up to the A/C which works fine.
Low boost table works fine - no issues. But with the high boost table i get a weird cut out no matter what i set it too.

Thanks Spunkster - I'll try it. :)
Should the ELD be on or off? Which would give the most consistent voltage?

Ok cool, so i just lift the S300 board from the socket/ecu and mail it to you?Hondata wrote:PWM - boost control? Only the s300 is changed; the ECU is not altered (we don't require it).
Do you have a UK vendor that I can mail the old one too or is it international mail to you only?

Re: Electrical Load AFR Issue
I just wanted to add i wired up the Pump direct to the battery - this helped with the indicator ticking but i'm still getting a pretty big AFR drop under load (mainly lights and rear de-mist).
ELD is disabled, should it be enabled or does it sound like another issue?

Electrical Load AFR Issue
Hi Guys,
Hoping someone can help as i'm stumped (again).
Getting quite a large AFR change as i turn on the lights, interior blower, stereo & rear screen demister. As i add load to the system the mixture leans out going from 12:1 right down to 15:1 roughly.

Re: Upgrading to white board s300 v3
Liking the look of this - just wondering will the PWM components be affected?
Are you upgrading the ECU's we send in (removing old board and adding new)?

Re: MAC Solenoid Boost levels & spring strength
Just wanted to follow this up, it's def not the Hondata, Solenoid or Wastegate causing the issue.
The car won't make more than 9 PSI even with the Wastegate constantly shut.
Examining turbo and internal Wastegate leak. Also blockages.
Thanks for everyone's help and suggestions. Once sorted I ...

Re: MAC Solenoid Boost levels & spring strength
Wow that's really weird. First triple check your lines and the wastegate diaphram. A 7 psi spring should be able to hold to at least 20 psi (maybe trailing off in higher rpm). If everything looks good I would try messing with the boost by gear tables before going to a larger spring.

Re: MAC Solenoid Boost levels & spring strength
Gave what you suggested a go - sadly no improvement. If anything I seem to get the most boost around the 31 - 32 hz range using the MAC valve, going in either direction seem to reduce it.
Any other thoughts?
Would really like to avoid having a mega spring in there if i can. :(

Re: MAC Solenoid Boost levels & spring strength
Yes, increase the variable frequency. But do it slowly, 1 or 2 % at a time. I increased it 10% when I was messing around and went right to boost cut lol.
And that fixed at 80% is quite high. Mine was at 42% but I've been using BBG so long I don't remember what psi that was giving me.
Cool i'll ...

Re: MAC Solenoid Boost levels & spring strength
Try setting activation pressure to 1 psi
Previously the early activation seemed to make it worse - but i'll try it again. :)
Which ECU are you using and does it have the boost components installed
I'm using an S300 - unsure of any further version details but i can find out if needed?
