Re: EP3 Type R wideband wiring
Also, I notice now - that only the non catalyst CR-V's have the IMA arrangement. Doh!

Re: EP3 Type R wideband wiring
I was told it resembled the pins in the OBDI connectors, but I just took a couple out of a friend's car and they aren't the same.
Quoting, as all other replies have disappeared...
Definitely seems to be some minor differences, even between cars of the same era built on the same platform.
Not ...

Ah, so you tried the wiring swap and it didn't play ball?

Re: EP3 Type R wideband wiring
Hey, thank you for your thoughts.
Still undecided on which method to use, but I have options. Probably too many is the trouble!
Thinking of running on a base map for a while, so maybe even use a narrowband to get up and running.

EP3 Type R wideband wiring
Greetings all,
Has anyone tried the suggested method of swapping terminal pins etc. on a '02 CR-V?
Apart from wire colour, the circuitry is almost identical.
The only difference being - that the CR-V has a IMA sensor and the Civic has an FTP sensor instead.
Not sure if the functions of the CR-V ...

Re: Any advantages of a different ECU other then PNF
Ah! Appreciate the swift response, thanks.
Looks like a PRB will be needed for combined 6 speed and factory wideband o2 sensor compatibility.

Re: Any advantages of a different ECU other then PNF
Sorry to bump this.
Just curious about where the relay mentioned above comes in.
Looking through the HELMS manual for the EP3 Si the pins and connections relevant to the lockout solenoid are shown as present despite the lack of the solenoid itself.
Pin B7 looks to be connected to the board ...

Re: Compatibility- again (different car)
Back again, apologies for troubling everyone.
Checked out the part number for my primary o2 sensor, it comes up as 36531-PND-A11, this appears to be the same as the EP3 Si from the US, and is thus (unless i am mistaken) a wideband sensor.
If that is the case, odd how the UK EP3 Type R did not get ...

Good plan, i think getting someone to look at it first hand is definitely the next step.
Many thanks for your time, all the best.

Re: Compatibility- again (different car)
Thank you for taking the time to check it out, that is certainly good news to a degree.
I understand the possibility of issues arising due to differences between the US and the UK car, not sure, but if there is anything else i could supply in terms of information to clarify then i will try to get ...

Re: Compatibility- again (different car)
That makes sense.
Never having removed an ECU let alone opened one it could prove a challenge! will see what i can do.
Thanks for the reply.

Compatibility- again (different car)
Hi all,
Was on here a while back asking about compatibility of my previous 2004 Civic which had DBW and VSA using similar systems to the CL9.
Have since got hold of a rare transitional model that again runs a K20A3, but has a conventional cable throttle, a PRB intake manifold, and a PNF-E02 ECU ...

So we meet again! lol!
I understand, and appreciate your response.
Sorry! i dont wish to keep bashing you about this.
