The OEM dizzy uses a mag reference sensor. It produces a wave pattern sorta like a heartbeat in other words its a simple high to low or low to high trigger. It produces its own current/voltage.

The solenoid is a better quality unit. It has wires and I can repin it to use OEM honda/sumitomo connectors. The housing is a metal unit and most guys have reviewed it to function very well.

BTW, does the S300 use a lambda wide band input for tuning only or does it keep it there and make its necessary adjustments? In other words does it work in open/closed loop using the OEM 4-wire sensor or does it work is full loop using a wide band controller's lambda output?
