What is this component circled in red and can it be replaced? Is this ecu garbage?

What specific tools are you guys using that do your own ECU socketing for hondata? I've never socketed an ecu and I figure I'd give it a try.

I know the process and you need a desoldering tip, soldering iron, and a sucker as well as a certain type of solder. I just don't know which brands I should ...

I am currently using an IBM pentium 3 laptop with windows xp to use on my hondata 4b. I cannot get it to connect to hondalogger though. Well i have the GM 3 bar map sensor and i have a little bit of a wiring problem with it... On the hondata installation manual it says:

GM code Honda wire color
A green/white
B white
C Yellow/Red

However my wires for my stock map sensor are:
