Small, mainly cosmetic, Kmanager request. From info here: https://www.hondata.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=139202#p139202
Could the 'Disable fuel over-run cutoff delay' option be re-worded in the Kmanager GUI so it's more in-line with the actual explanation of the feature in the docs?
At the moment ...

Re: Ethanol Content not reading
Looks like your meter is showing a range in kilo-ohms though, so it would be 476 Ohm for the ground, which probably is too high and an indication of a bad connection somewhere along the line.

Re: curious effects in datalog
I guess to avoid such variation from the link to the PC a workaround would be to use the on-board datalogging on a Kpro3 or higher for such power-test runs where you want the most consistent samples.
That is of course under the assumption(!!) that the onboard datalogging is a real-time function of ...

Re: hondata not reading sensors
Just checking, but you are starting datalogging (lightning-bolt button near top of main window, F10 on keyboard) when trying to view the sensors and calibrate the TPS, right?

Did you bypass/bridge the old auto box shifter park interlock on the body harness for the starter and possibly the key release from the barrel?

Re: Elise K20 on K100 OBDII port wiring
Disconnect the "L" line from the K4 ECU. Most OBD readers get confused by that being present and a different ECU alltogether :)
All that's normally needed is hooking E23 from the Honda ECU up to the K-line wire that was on the K4 ECU and disconnecting the L-line one (pin 73)

Re: Kpro - K24 Idle drop and instability, tried everything....
Go for a little ride, and it starts missing and stumbling severely on throttle tip in. Get back home and it doesn't idle well at all again, hunting up and down. AFR all over the place. Floor it at idle and it will bog down and die. Gently ease into the throttle and it will rev fine.
Do a ...

Re: Exocet/KMiata Swap Install Questions
Are pressing F10 first to start datalogging with the ignition ON and Kmanager declaring the ECU as 'online'?
Only then will the sensor data be updated/'live' in the sensor list and any dash templates.
Bye, Arno.

Re: ECU Shutting Down
Could a high or (partial) AC voltage also cause the ECU to cut out? Eg. voltage regulator or rectifier on the alternator developing an issue (often heat and vibration) and sometimes letting the voltage spike or not rectifying the AC completely anymore?

Re: "Injector Size" value: what table(s) does it NOT affect?
Thanks for the info! Good to know the injector size factor is applied at the last moment and not earlier like some other ECU's do..
That saves a bunch of extra stuff to (re-)check and adjust. :)

"Injector Size" value: what table(s) does it NOT affect?
The KManager help file states that: "Changing the injector size will automatically compensate the fuel tables for the rating of the injector (but not for the specific characteristics of the injector). Also the cranking fuel is compensated based on the injector size."

Re: High knock count at part throttle after cam install
TODA A3's on K20A2 here (with matching TODA springs and chain tensioner) too and I have always had varying degrees of knock registered around 2500-3500rpm even at very low throttle openings where it really shouldn't even be able to...

Re: KManager V4.1.0 (beta)
Hi,
There seems to be a small bug in the GUI code or .kal parsing in 4.1.0 compared to 4.0.8 as far as I can tell.
I use a PRA ECU and calibrations and with 4.1.0 some options in the Parameters section get greyed out and become un-selectable when starting Kmanager and opening an existing KAL ...

Correct. Wideband is for datalogging/tuning only.
Only with the new V4 K-pro can you use an external wideband with a controller for closed-loop running as well.
Bye, Arno.
