Did you get this figured out? Mine has recently started doing it also right about 20% throttle higher load low rpm

right. should i not have fuel and ignition cut?

so my vss is working fine, and now that I pay attention to the tach reading on the hondata it shows 4900-5100, so I guess the cluster tach is just confused? according to the s300 the launck control is working fine...

hmm let me ckeck that out... I wasnt driving during the datalog if thats what you were looking at? I am just wondering how you could tell I have no vss?

Ok since I got the s300 working I havent had much time to mess with the car, today I am doing some street tuning and its running great. only thing is my launch control is set at 5000 but the tach never gets that high just goes crazy around 1500-3000 and it sounds kind of weird.. any ideas?

Fixed the problem! I went over and re soldered every connection that was socketed.. works perfect now! Thanks for all your help!

Really.. boo I was hoping it would be an easy fix... Why does his ecu have them? You can tell that they were deff installed when the s300 was by the solder joints

ok so finally got a buddy of mine to bring his s300 over so we could test the ecu/s300.. put his s300 in my ecu and same issues.. put my s300 in his ecu and works fine!. so started comparing out boards. We both have p28's and found a difference, his ecu has a capacitor in spots c52 and c51. Mine ...

it is a completely different ecu. I have a feeling it is a socketing issue but have looked at all the solder points on the socketing and it looks solid
