Re: s300 closed loop running super lean, open loop is perfec

I had what sounds like exactly what happened to you. I ended up having to change my injector dead time settings to get the car to run well in closed loop.

you can search my posts to find out how I did it.

By the way, I'm from Finland.. former neighbors.

that would constitute no signal to the ECU. If a vacuum line comes off, then the signal is still there, so it won't go to 3000 rpm

Re: Fuel pressure data log data question

The transducer might also need a snubber because the pulses in the fuel rail might be causing havoc on the load cell inside the transducer.

I also found in my past life as a test engineer that transducers are sensitive to proper grounding, ground loops, general electrical noise, large error bands ...

Re: Fuel pressure data log data question

yeah you're right I re-read your post last night, definitely not a regulator issue.

It might be the transducer. I'm not sure how much noise you're getting and what the actual sampling rate is. If it's just a little blip for a tenth of a second, I'd say sampling error. I've always noticed my fuel ...

Re: Fuel pressure data log data question

I would be more interested in seeing voltage at the fuel pump than actual pressure. Something definitely doesn't sound right. hook up a volt meter to the fuel pump leads and watch that during a pull. You may need larger gauge wiring to the fuel pump.. run a relay if you do that.

you might have a ...

Re: AEM Uego/S300 questions

Thanks. I'll do that today when I get home. And as long as its normal to jump thats fine with me.

yep, and with the latest software you can also adjust the rate of change under the closed loop tab. I'll be playing with that feature myself this week. I already went from around 29mpg to 31mpg just ...

Re: AEM Uego/S300 questions

bouncing from 13 to 16 is normal in closed loop.

Are you wired to the ELD input?

If you want to see AF instead of voltage, just hit the options tab up top, go to sensors, find AF wideband and select air fuel ratio instead of lambda.

I just hooked my AEM up to my S300 last week, so I'm still ...

AEM UEGO in closed loop = AMAZING

Just want to give props to Hondata for providing this technology.

My car runs noticeably better in closed loop driveability-wise than off the on board O2 (which is new). The feedback loop while cruising also appears a lot faster for some reason.

I had no idea this was possible until a few nights ...

Thanks for clearing up my confusion. I'll try it. It's always reversible I guess if it causes problems.

ELD question (in reference to data logging, etc)

By disconnecting the ELD in order to use input 10 for datalogging, what is the effect? I assume the alternator will default to its maximum output? Anyone notice any longer term issues? I.E. alternators wearing out prematurely or anything else I should be concerned with? Thanks.

Re: closed loop headache....

I initially had a problem with switching to closed loop from a perfectly running open loop calibration. I ended up having to start from scratch using a stock calibration and by changing injector latency settings. You can search my posts to see how I got it to work. My car runs like factory right now ...

Re: cant find info on injector for tune...

http://injector-rehab.com/shop/lag.html

Useful starting point. I was able to dial my injector dead time by doing the following:

1.) start with a stock calibration (no modifications to any corrections, fuel tables, timing tables)
2.) enter injector size
3.) put the ecu in closed loop
4.) get the ...

Re: closed loop headache....

Interesting. I'm having the same problem. My car runs awesome in open loop and I've gotten as high as 38 mpg on this calibration in open loop. I put in a new O2 a couple of days ago and the car leaned out to the point of stalling and jerked when I tried to drive it. I put it back in open loop for ...

Re: radiator fan override

Once a car is moving above a certain mph (about 30-35), there is enough air flow that the fan is no longer needed. This is why most race cars do not even run fans.

I think your problem is that you have a radiator that is too small to be running with boost. You may want to consider a full sized ...
