Re: Hondata P28/Obd2b - Calibration upload issues.
Could this be happening because before I uploaded the calibration to the ecu I clicked erase ecu?

I just bought a used Hondata Ecu it that is converted to obd2b.
The car that the ecu is in is a obd2a.
I have a conversion harness from a obd2a car to an obd2b ecu.
The ecu connects to my smanager. (latest production version)

Re: Hits boost cut instead of vtec?
I have disconnected the grounds, scuffed them with sandpaper then reconnected them and it didnt make a difference.
I ended up fixing the problem though, i just changed the output wire for the vtec to the a10 pin on the ecu and it seems to work fine now?
Any reason why this made it work ?

Hits boost cut instead of vtec?
I have a turbo b16 in my civic.
I street/dyno tuned it myself, and have been running the car for few months with no computer issues.
Vtec has worked fine up until now.
I had to replace my distributor a couple weeks ago, but vtec still worked fine. ( despite the fact that the tach is a little jumpy ...

Re: S300 issues/ 4k rev limit.
Have you tired this s300 in a different ECU? It sounds like the ECU may not be powering up properly and may have been damaged.
I have not had a chance to try it in a different ecu. The only friend I have that has the s300 just got it back from the shop and being dyno tuned and does not want to ...

Re: S300 issues/ 4k rev limit.
Do any lights come on on the s300 when you turn the key to the on position?
Yes two green lights on the s300 board when the key is switched on.
It went through the troubleshooting and the computer does not recognize that anything is plugged in dealing with hondata.
How do I go about sending it ...

Re: S300 issues/ 4k rev limit.
I opened it up and nothing looks burnt at all. Pulled the chip out, looked front and back, and then all around the ecu board and nothing looks bad/ or burnt

S300 issues/ 4k rev limit.
The other day I decided to do a little tuning.
I have a 96 Civic obd2a with a jumper harness to obd1.
I have the hondata in a p28 with s300. It was installed by a shop.
Car was running just fine. I plugged in my laptop/the car died. And you could smell burnt electronics.
