Re: Lean Start cold engine

Still haven't had a chance to try it out yet...

Do you guys usually leave this area stock when tuning or did you guys add more fuel?

How much do you usually add? ( I know it varies between setup just want an idea)

Thanks.

Lean Start cold engine

Hi guys,

I got a D16z6 with vitara internals w/ Greddy TD04 kit
I started a new calibration and started engine
Engine starts but it is leaning out.
I think it is because the engine is cold.
Is there something on the parameter that I need to adjust?
Also if you can provide me a link that would be ...

Re:

One thing i noticed though, the tune seemed perfect and then i stopped to wash the car (maybe 10-15 minutes) and when i started it up it idled super lean, like high 17's and sputtered, driving was also real lean high 15's to 16's... but after 5 minutes of driving it went back to normal how it was ...

Re: ELD question AFR accuracy

I got the PLX SM AFR/ DM6 gauge. Gauge is working but I'm not sure wich is telling me the approximate AFR. I guess I'll need to check with someone else who has a wideaband. Thanks.

Re: need tune for stock d16z6 turbo @7psi.

At 7 psi you would have a hard time smoking B-series swap depending how fast your turbo spools up. I know because I've been there. I'm at 10psi and smoked a few Rsx type S NA.

Re: Glowing red header at idle any ideas?

I'm not no pro at K-series but I'm pretty sure it is super lean and timing is probably off. I would double check if timing is still good. BTW the Fuel pressure is higher than normal.

Re: need guidence

Hondata s300 would be good for you if you want to do some tuning in the future. Or if you want to do some street tuning. This new s300 has some anti-theft features that are pretty good.

ELD question AFR accuracy

I've cut the ELD @ D10 to tap in my 0-5v to ECU.

1. If I left ELD disconnected, will it affect anything on stock ecu?
2. Why is that my s300 reading 14 AFR while my wideband reading 16 AFR? Do I need to remove the resistors in the s300?
3. If reading from Smanager and AFR gauge is different, would ...

Cool. I'll look into the controller and hopefully be able to wire the O2 in with the harness and the controller somewhere with the ECU. Thanks.

PLX Type B O2 to vx harness

Hey guys, has anyone wire this PLX Type B O2 to the vx harness?

Goal is to get run wideband on car daily and keep engine bay clean. I already got Apexi AFR meter for the display.
and will it read on the s300 through the ...
